Do any of you know if there are laws against doctoring newspaper photos for satire purposes? Kinda like when the guy took that photo of Barack Obama and made him look like the Joker....

scrachy you have uped your bid 3 times. first you doble it, next you added another 50%. next time Mr. Hankey is thinking you will tack on another 25% of the curent bid.
all this and no one has yet posted a competative bid (within the Hankey guidelines) aginst you.

I realize that I'm probably the only one here that listens to this music, but this video was filmed in the Tate house. Trent Reznor lived there in the early 90's and built his "Pig" (a reference to the word that a murderer had written in Tate's blood on the front door) recording studio in it. It's also where the entire Nine Inch Nails album "The Downward Spiral" was recorded. I think he recorded some others there as well. After he moved out he said:
"While I was working on Downward Spiral, I was living in the house where Sharon Tate was killed. Then one day I met her sister. It was a random thing, just a brief encounter. And she said: 'Are you exploiting my sister's death by living in her house?' For the first time, the whole thing kind of slapped me in the face. I said, 'No, it's just sort of my own interest in American folklore. I'm in this place where a weird part of history occurred.' I guess it never really struck me before, but it did then. She lost her sister from a senseless, ignorant situation that I don't want to support. When she was talking to me, I realized for the first time, 'What if it was my sister?' I thought, 'Fuck Charlie Manson.' I went home and cried that night. It made me see there's another side to things, you know?"
He took the front door with him when he moved and installed it in his Nothing Studio. Marilyn Manson can also be seen in this video playing guitar, but he wasn't on the original recording. He was just good friends with Reznor and told him that he always wanted to record a video in the Tate house so Reznor alowed him to pretend that he played guitar just he could be in the video. Manson's first album was recorded there.
