Finish Line

I hate carl! but damn funny with the run to the finish line. glad he was not hurt. or newman also. that was damn scarry the way the car whent to the stands. good race! thought I was going to have to sit through a JR wins at Dega after #18 got spun and whent a lap down with only 17 to go.
How about Brad, not even a full time cup ride and he wins big at Dega! he did a hell of a push for carl the last lap and it paid off!

Fans were lucky that car didn't go through that fence.

The Kids have guts at 200 mph. 55 is fast for this ole man :)

I think I enjoy the way they can draft their way from 20th to first in 2 laps... then get stupid and immediately stop what is working for them, going back back back.

The wreck at the end was just good racing, the way it should be.

crash injures seven NASCAR fans

Carl Edwards’ crash launched several pieces of the wreckage into the crowd injuring at least seven fans, two females of which were airlifted to avoid heavy traffic and hospitalized.  One suffered from what appeared to be a broken jaw and was treated at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) Medical Center. 
The other fan was sent to the hospital for an unidentified “medical issue” not related to Carl Edwards’ crash.  The remaining six were treated at the track’s infield care center where drivers are sent with their injuries.
Edwards managed to survive the Talladega crash. His car flipped at over 15 feet into the crowd’s protective fence, and neither he, nor anyone in the crowd sustained no serious injuries.  The track’s medical director, Dr. Bobby Lewis, calls the crowd’s injuries minor saying that they were “mostly bumps, bruises, contusions and possible fractures.”

I loved the Ricky Bobbie style finish Carl did after that excellent crash!   Ran the 100 yds and stomped on the finish line in true Carl edwards flair.  Fuck the fact he was just airborne at 203 MPH racing for the win and got a PUNT from kezlowski.  Just wanted to finish the race.

I love that kid, he's class all the way!
