Banks, Credit Cards and Bailouts?

The following is and edited email conversaiton I was asked to post for someone as it really says what a n average person thinks. Names omitted for posting purpose.

The bank agreed to my request this AM.

I am going to roll my current personal loan and both credit cards into a new loan. 

This will lower the monthly payment to 100 less than the plow loan now and free up 300 + a month for other bill.

I am also going to cancel one card and keep only the GM card I think as it has money built up to put a down payment on a car someday.  Providing GM does not fold and die.  Then I really wasted my money on that credit card.

But I am going to lower the limit to about $500.00 max. That will keep me out of further trouble. The Gas and Heating Oil really killed me on the Credit Cards last year.

I’ll be able to put money away and hopefully keep money and expenses under control.

 Well so far they only bailed out the ones who gave THEM the most money and deals. 

I don’t have much to offer the Democrats but one vote in a state they already OWN most of.

Being a Republican, I don’t freakin matter to them.

If there is a credit card bailout – here is how that’ll go.

First the Banks will jack up the interest rates and fees – maxing out your cards way over you limits and any real expectation paying it off.  I heard Chase is already asking customers to pay triple the normal monthly payment or risk interest on the cards jumping to over 30%.  Unfreakin real.  But will they regulate that shit?  No.

Consumers will begin to default on these.  Bankrupcies for the consumer.

The banks begin to cry they need bailout money for record bankruptcies.  They’ll get their money.  The consumer gets a poor credit rating because he could not pay the bills anylonger.

Who wins?  The banks, news meida.

Who loses? The consumer.

Who does not care?  The Polititan’s and people who don’t pay their bills and taxes.

Who gets Fucked?  People who actually pay the taxes and their bills.
