Hey folks: I believe our plan is working. Advertising on the hate radio show this morning was mighty thin. Since it's the holiday season, onemight think they would have more ads. So, keep it ou, our plan is working. Same goes for any business which sponsors Stan Welch Amature Hour on Saturdays.

These shameful shows are hurting the community and our futures. So let's make them pay !

Do not shop or support any business which sponsors hate radio on WAIM !

The same tactic will, and is working at ATZ, only everybody needs to call or E-mail the Anderson Independent Mail, and let them know that they should send that forum to the same resting place that they sent straight talk, or we the subscribers, and advertisers will pull our support of their newspaper.

Oh no, supposely ATZ is not longer affiliated with AIM.  Didn't you get JD Tippet's memo on that?   It' a citizens' forum without input from your average citizen.Just "knowledgable and informed insiders, who know jack shit!   Whining to Bill or Butch ain't gonna do it.

ATZ is already dying the appropriate death it deserves.  Posts and posters are down  and when they DO post, it's usully JD, Pappy, Nomad, 1-opinion, Prevail and a SMALL contingent of others rehashing the same thing ad nausium.  If I hear the word "audit" ONE MORE F*CKING TIME......!!!!

You can say FUCK wyatt, it's ok, changing one letter to an " * " doesn't change the meaning of what you typed one iota. F*CKING is no different than FUCKING...

I've registered my complaint.....but frankly, ATZ is taking care of it self. Moderated forums just don't work. Free express does. The big difference between an online forum and the old print Straighth Talk is mainly YOU have choice with online. If you know a forum (or Hankey's form) might be occassionally offensive, you just don't go there. With ST in print it hit you in the eyes and was difficult to avoid, unless you didn't take the newspaper.
Not taking the paper is a problem for newspapers, so why have stuff in print that readers don't want? I think the AIM folks got it right in dropping ST.
Now we have ST and everyother kind of talk on Hankey! Hankey rocks!

wyatt, you are mistaken about ATZ no longer being under the control of the Anderson Independent Mail, as much as they would like you to believe they don`t have anything to do with that forum any longer, the truth is that they are responsible for it`s existance until 2012, unless they discontinue it.

Does anyone have any idea what Kevin Bryant,Cindy Wilson,Bob Waldrep,Dan Harvell,Stan Welch,Rick Driver,Rodney Sanders,Charles Crowe,Charles(cindy)Wilson,Gerald(JD)Garrett,Lee Rogers, and a few newcomers on the local political scene have in common? They all work for, and are under the control of the local, the statewide, and the national republican party. They don`t give a "Rats ASS" about the average voters, and taxpayer`s of this, or any other county.

The national Republican Party thinks that the majority on your list are a disgrace. They make jokes about them behind their backs. But, alas, the "nationals" use them and they are too dumb to realize it, or too full of themseleves to care.

What is really sad, is what they are doing to Anderson County. We have a bunch of neanderthals taking over the Republican party here.

Here's to hoping someone (or someones) will assemble a master listing of those that advertise with them.

Pub you are correct. If you happen to wander over to WAIM between the noon and 3pm hour (Limbaugh), you will hear PSAs ... yes PSAs running.

PSAs = UNSOLD AD TIME

Now, if you can't sell ad time during Limbaugh, you are doing something VERY wrong.

"Control" is probably too strong of a word to describe AIM's involvement with ATZ. My guess is AIM wants to be rid of the remnants of Nick's old Cockelbur thing. Nick dumped AIM in a hissy fit and left them rather high and dry, although I think secretly they were relieved to see him leave. AIM has discovered that sponsoring a blog has many issues. The appease the blog participants (which wasn't really necessary since they (bloggers) are inconsequencial. None-the-less, the moderators took care of the problem for AIM and none too soon. The blog lunch is a thing of the past, since Nick isn't picking up the tab, and soon the blog will go the way of lunch..... that is, there is NO FREE LUNCH !

Hankey- feel free to use my County Credit Card. That way, you eat "anytime, anywhere you want." That should send Cindy Wilson and Rick Driver over the edge. ;-)

You're just mad, because the local party kicked you out.  That's right they did it.  You moved out of your precinct, and they moved to remove you as quick as they remembered to do it.

They also, didn't support your buddy Willie Horton McAbee.  I guess he showed us.  Spending every dime he can before he gets kicked out of office.  This gives me a headache.

Anybody got any Advil?

I think you are confused.  They actually do care about the taxpayers.  It's the rino republicans like McAbee, Thompson, Greer, and Ron Wilson that actually stick it to the tax payers.  Fortuneatly, 3 of them will be gone in January.

I will be doing a happy dance all over town.  I hear the muscians tuning their fiddles now!

Somehow, I don't think you got the memo from Governor Moonbeam, er, Sanford:

Employment Insecurity
http://www.fitsnews.com/2008/12/19/employment-insecurity/

From the article:
"By threatening to effectively withhold nearly $150 million worth of unemployment benefit payments to an estimated 77,000 unemployed South Carolinians, the governor is hoping to draw a line in the sand and force long-overdue reforms at this inept, irresponsible agency.

That’s a great desired outcome, and one that would no doubt result in more consistent employment data, a better understanding of why our rates are so consistently high and, most importantly, better service to our state’s swelling ranks of unemployed workers.

But he’s already lost the argument …

Seriously, we’re all for holding guns to people’s heads (figuratively speaking), but you probably shouldn’t announce a week before Christmas that you’re going to cut off relief to people who need it because you’re involved in an inter-governmental pissing contest."

That's your REAL REPUBLICAN* ... the one thats for REFORM.

To me - and to the other 77,000 South Carolinians, he just told us all to eff off.

... stupid ...

- SSHM

* - By Real Republican, I mean a Libertarian that couldn't get elected on the platform of his own party, thus forcing him to GLOM onto the SC GOP to win higher office.

Why Willieh, that is so unkind! I'm not mad at anyone. The local party never kicked me out. You must have me confused with someone else.

Either way, that doesn't change how the national republican party views the nut bunch here. If you are one of the nut bunch, be aware that there are laughs going on behind your back and YOU are being used ! Maybe you enjoy that ?
